Pinball Service and Restoration
Here at Silverball Restorations we have three levels of restoration. For games we sell, we perform level 2 or 3, depending on the needs of the machine. Level 1 restorations are for machines that people drop off and just want a general cleaning done, but they aren’t interested in an intense restoration process. Here are the descriptions for each level, and the prices involved.
Level 1 Pinball Machine Service
This is our most basic level of restoration. Here we focus on cleaning, diagnosing errors, replacing burnt bulbs, replacing pinballs, and leaving the playfield waxed to a wet shine look. This is a great option if your machine is in good condition, but it just needs a solid tune up and professional cleaning. Below is the list of services included with this package.
- Cabinet, translite/backglass, backbox, and cabinet interior cleaned
- All switches checked for errors, any broken switches fixed
- All bulbs and flashers checked, burnt bulbs replaced in the backbox and on the playfield
- Playfield cleaned and waxed
- Rubber rings and flipper rubber replaced
- Flippers, pop bumpers, and slingshots properly aligned and adjusted

- Flippers rebuilt
- Pop bumpers rebuilt
- Glass replaced
- Legs replaced
Level 2 Pinball Machine Restoration
This is our best value service and includes a pretty intense restoration. With the level 2 restoration your pinball machine will play better than new, but it might still have a few signs of use on the cabinet. After a level 2 restoration, these games will play fast, look absolutely stunning, and will stay in great condition with minimal maintenance. Most of the machines we sell get the level 2 treatment. Below are the services included.
- Cabinet, translite/backglass, backbox, and cabinet interior cleaned
- All switches checked for errors, any broken switches replaced
- All bulbs and flashers checked, burnt bulbs replaced in the backbox and on the playfield
- Bulbs in playfield inserts replaced with LEDs (can use standard bulbs by customer request)
- All flashers replaced with LED flashers
- All playfield parts removed and cleaned, including plastics, ramps, posts, and toys
- Rubber rings and flipper rubber replaced, flipper bats replaced if needed
- Flippers, pop bumpers, and slingshots rebuilt and properly adjusted
- Boards diagnosed for errors and repaired or replaced (additional cost for board replacement)
- Playfield cleaned several times, multiple wax coats, and touched up where needed
- Cabinet touchups to the edges and interior
- Mylar removed and replaced if needed
- Pinballs replaced
- Coin door locks replaced with keyless locks, original keys provided to owner
- Replace score cards with custom cards
- Provide new game manual if needed

Level 3 Pinball Machine Restoration
This package is the highest level of restoration service we offer. Machines that receive this treatment will truly be as good as a new in box game or better. We don’t hold back on anything here, so after your machine gets the level 3 treatment it will be a true showpiece. See below for the included services.
- Cabinet, translite/backglass, backbox, and cabinet interior cleaned
- All switches checked for errors, any broken switches replaced
- All bulbs and flashers checked, burnt bulbs replaced in the backbox and on the playfield
- Bulbs in playfield inserts replaced with LEDs (can use standard bulbs by customer request)
- All flashers replaced with LED flashers
- Backbox lights replaced with LEDs (can use standard bulbs by customer request)
- All playfield parts removed and cleaned, including plastics, ramps, posts, and toys
- Rubber rings and flipper rubber replaced, flipper bats replaced if needed
- Flippers, pop bumpers, and slingshots rebuilt and properly adjusted
- Boards diagnosed for errors and repaired or replaced (additional cost for board replacement)

- Cabinet repainted, stenciled, or decaled if stencils/decals are available
- Mylar removed and replaced if needed
- Pinballs replaced

- Lockbar replaced
- Translite/backglass replaced if stock is available
- Coin door repainted
- Shooter rod replaced
- Glass replaced
- Playfield plastics replaced
- Any stock parts that can be upgraded to higher quality parts will be replaced
- Playfield ramps replaced if needed
- All game ROMs upgraded to most current versions
- Extra rubber kit provided
- New decals for targets if stock is available
- All parts showing wear replaced if stock is available. This includes non-playfield parts, such as power cords, bolts, buttons, etc.

In some cases certain machines aren’t going to need as much work done to them and we may charge less for one of our restoration packages. If you aren’t local, then shipping/delivery charges will be paid by you, but we will work out our best deal for you with our shipping partner.
